Telecom and broadcast regulators

Media monitoring for broadcast regulators, in the languages stations actually air.

Regulators license hundreds of stations but can only listen to a few. ADB Voices transcribes every station's output so a monitoring team can search all of it, review flagged passages, and keep the evidence: transcript, timestamp and the original audio.

How it works

  1. 1.

    Record

Station feeds are recorded and sent in as audio files or batches.

  2. 2.

    Transcribe and tag

Each recording becomes timestamped text. Names, places and dates are picked out, and sentiment is scored per segment.

  3. 3.

    Search and review

Analysts search across every station and open the exact moment in the audio before acting.

Questions

Can it handle two languages mixed in one sentence?

Yes. Presenters who switch languages mid-sentence, such as Kiswahili and English, come out in one transcript.

Does broadcast audio leave the country?

Not with an in-country licence: the API, console and model run in your data centre or national cloud.

Can I find every mention of a name or a topic?

Yes. Transcripts are searchable by word, and entity extraction lists the people, organisations and places mentioned.
